Fibromyalgia and Intestinal Permeability (Leaky Gut)

The longer I've been in practice, the more I notice a correlation between imbalances in the gastrointestinal tract and systemic immune and inflammatory problems.  I've blogged about this before, especially endotoxin and it's relationship with many chronic diseases.  Related to that, I wanted to pass on an excellent post by Chris Kresser specifically on the subject of Fibromyalgia and Leaky Gut.  He does an excellent job of making the correlation and making recommendations of what to do for intestinal permeability.  Among those recommendations are consuming gelatin rich foods; I recommend Great Lakes Gelatin powder.  Another consideration that I've suggested in the past is Zinc Carnosine, which has been shown to support microbial balance in the gut and support the mucosa of the stomach and intestines.
