Migraines and H. Pylori

H. Pylori is the most common chronic bacterial pathogen world wide (apparently infecting 50% of the world's population).  This bacteria is a known cause of ulcers, reflux, and chronic gastritis, and one of the most interesting things about it is that it lowers the production of stomach acid, allowing itself to proliferate.  That is why antacids can potentially make the infection worse.  Recent research suggests that addressing this bacteria may help reduce the frequency and severity of migraine headaches.  The study reflecting this can be found here:
